Obama is Really Fighting for Florida

Published by cgardener at 11:49 pm under Saving the United States Edit This

I’ve had two people in the last week come to my house and offer to take me to vote. I live in a tiny town, in a pretty working class neighborhood. I guess we’re the ones he’s really fighting for.

I didn’t have the heart to tell them I wasn’t voting, so I lied and told them I already had. I had no intention of getting in the car with anyone I didn’t know and going anywhere anyway.

I think this country is in such a mess, that nobody is going to be able to pull it out of the drink in four years. It will take decades to undo what has been done. People don’t realize how much we are really going to have to suffer to bring our country back.

The worst part is that people don’t want to suffer. They want Obama or McCain to magically wave their hands and make it all right again. That just isn’t possible. It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

I believe I’ll be able to ride out this storm, because I’ve never had much. Still, I’m in danger of losing what I have, and that’s scary. I have to believe that whatever goes down happens for the universal good, and for what is right for me, no matter what I believe is right.

I hope for everyone (well, except the rich people…I don’t like rich people) that we can get back to at least some semblance of normalcy somewhere in the next four years. Already, the suicide rates among 40-60 year olds is rising, mostly among white males. People just feel so hopeless. They feel like this country has let us down, the very people who pay for all the abominable things they have let transpire. Here we are losing our retirement accounts, and the rich are buying up all the cheap stock and getting richer off of our suffering.

There has to be a big, big change. I guess we will all have to wait and see what that will be.
